Conscious Birth Classes
Our birth preparation classes help you to gain a deeper understanding of your anatomy, the physiology of birth and how to stay connected to your baby during the whole process.
Your partner’s role will be enhanced as he is taught cues, support techniques and a deep understanding of the stages of labour.
Different positions for labour and birth as well as relaxation techniques are taught.
Understand hospital policies and procedures, what to expect at a home birth, the pros and cons of medical intervention, what induction, c-sections, assisted deliveries and postpartum care look like.
This class also includes a full breastfeeding class as well as a postpartum visit (primarily focused on breastfeeding support).
We ask that participants bring their lunches with them & we will work through lunch.
This class is ideally taken between the 24th and the 30th week of pregnancy.
Breastfeeding Education Only – You may choose to attend only the breastfeeding evening and skip the Saturday session – perfect for couples who want to learn more about breastfeeding in order to improve upon a previous experience. Also great as an adjunct to the Middlesex Health Unit prenatal classes. Effective January 2013, the fee for this is $95 (includes Thursday night class and postpartum visit)
Fee: $195.00 (effective January 2013) for Saturday and Thursday class, as well as postpartum visit(Payable Upon Registration)

Hi Shelly,
Thanks for your inquiry.
As of yet, we don’t have a date for February. When is your due date? You would be more than welcome to join our class at the end of January. Please let us know.
Otherwise, we could talk about doing a one-on-one class with you, your partner and one of our practitioners.
Let us know if you might be interested in joining the January 30th class.

My due date is April 2,2011, I cannot do the Jan 30th one as I am getting married the day before.
I would be interested in doing it in February (I am a high risk pregnancy and would like to do the classes sooner then lator)

Hello,
I was looking at your Consious Birth classes and was wondering if the $175.00 fee is for 2 people? (Mother and partner)?
Also, is your September class full yet?

Martha, that fee is for a mother and partner and includes a postpartum visit too and the breastfeeding class. There is space in the September class and if you email shannon@babiesnaturally.ca she can answer any other questions for you! Thank you for asking! xo
